Sorry for the absent posts.

Work is still busier than I would like right now given the nearness of the race, but I can’t complain. I’m managing to get most of my workouts in.

This past weekend, I did a four hour ride on Saturday and then did the Danskin triathlon on Sunday with my mom. It was fun to be out there with her. She’s a wonderful supporter and energetic participant, and she just looked so darn cute with her race bib on. I love Mom.

I don’t expect to have much time to write this week, so I’m going to post what I plan to do by way of workouts.

Monday: Off
Tuesday: swim (am), lift (am)
Wednesday: bike (am), run (am)
Thursday: swim (am), bike (am)
Friday: run (am), lift (am)

This week I am also trying to figure out what to pack and what to ship off with my bike on Thursday. I am also finalizing clothes for the race and writing down my nutrition plan so that I don’t have to think about it when I get there.

Most importantly, I’m trying not to flip out. I flipped out last night over something completely meaningless. I think that happened because of the stress of everything right now – a lot of work and a bit of anxiety about the race. I need to keep myself together because I believe that my body is ready. I just need to keep my mind in tact. This is important, but it can’t be so important that I fall apart emotionally before the race even starts.

I am healthy. I am strong. I am ready. I will have fun.

I am healthy….you get the picture.
